Spay/Neuter and rehome strays
Raising money to get strays fixed
I'm raising money to help spay and neuter the strays that keep showing up at my home. The Cat Distribution System seems to think I have gone long enough without any cats in my life and keeps sending them to me now.
-------------------------------------------------
Polly is a cream orange and white female that showed up at my brother's house and would not leave. She was super skinny and dirty when they found her. She is extremely friendly, loves sleeping next to (or on) you, gets along great with dogs, but appears to hate other cats. When she is ready to go to a new home she will need to be the only cat.
**Update on Polly**
She has made friends with Mr. Mysterious and is warming up to the kittens we brought in. She just doesn't get along with the cats that were already here.
She had to have her spay delayed due to a heart murmur. She has a separate appointment to be seen and be fixed where she is not at a spay event where there are other animals stressing her out.
-----------------------------------
We have taken in two strays kittens, Sunshine and Flea. Sunshine is an orange and white female, and Flea is an orange male. Their condition wasn't super great when they arrived, Flea took longer to catch and was a lot skinnier and covered in fleas when he was finally caught. They are both doing better now and are almost old enough to be fixed.
----------------------------------
This all started with a stray that showed up and needed help.
"Currently I am raising money to neuter a male black cat, who we are calling Mr. Mysterious. We will also be raising money for a white and orange female named Polly to be spayed. Both cats will be available for adoption once they are fixed and up to dates on their shots.
Mr. Mysterious is a young black male that seems to have followed me home one night. He appeared under my car, cold and crying. I brought him into my enclosed porch and gave him food, water and shelter from the cold temperatures that night. He was very timid and hid the whole time, while still crying when he heard anyone. We tried to locate his owners and no one has claimed him, he keeps coming back to our house every night and cries to let us know he is here. I believe he is from a feral colony nearby. He allows me to pet him briefly now, but runs away if I move too fast."
**Update on Mr. Mysterious**
He had his neutering surgery on January 14th and is recovering very well. Thank you to everyone who donated!

Lovely is the latest addition to the rescue. She is a calico stray that decided to move in with someone who was not looking for a cat. She showed up one day and just decided this was her human. "She's just a lovely cat". Unfortunately the person she chose to live with does not have the funds to get her fixed and is asking for help to make sure Lovely doesn't show up with kittens one day.
